About AUDEO
"If Deftones and Radiohead had a baby, and then Meshuggah and Queens of the Stone Age had a baby, and those two babies were genetically morphed together, comparing us to that baby wouldn't even begin to describe us." -AUDEO
Founding members of AUDEO met at a Waldorf-inspired high school from Rohnert Park, California called Credo High School. They formed in 2014 and have been playing together ever since. When AUDEO started, their love of metal music and initial distain for school was what brought the four (now three) of them making music together. Bands like Rage Against the Machine, Deftones, and Isis are all they had to keep their brains occupied at school until they began writing music. As years went by, they all found themselves becoming more captivated by music outside the metal genre. Albums like Currents by Tame Impala, The Money Store by Death Grips, and Demon Days by Gorillaz had them realizing how easy it was to incorporate multiple styles of music into AUDEO's metal-centric sound. Ever since then they have been constantly refining their sound and redefining what makes AUDEO so special. With their constantly changing influences, which range from Tool to Ween, from Alice in Chains to Modest Mouse, from New Order to Nine Inch Nails, AUDEO does its best to deliver to the crowd something new they have never heard each time they take the stage. AUDEO's artistic integrity is more important to them than anything and everything, and it's that mindset defines them as artists. They grew up idolizing artists who take risks and think outside the box, and the hope of tapping into that open-minded audience of people into strange art (a perfect example would be their comedy heroes Tim and Eric) is what keeps them writing and performing. AUDEO will seize all opportunities to grow as a group and expand their brand as far out as possible. Contact us at the bottom of the page if you have any questions. :)
